The last week I had a speaker at an italian service provider interested in IT automation of own infrastructure, about Ansible. The presentation is available at Speakerdeck (in Italian). To introduce the speak I did a bit of introduction about IT automation and his source mindset.

Pelican is a great static site generator, written in Python and used for this blog. For easy generation and deploy of the blog/site generated with pelican there are two file for automation included, a fabfile for fabric and a shell script. I take the function that I used mostly and I write a very simple ansible playbook.

If you want to try latest release of Openstack, the free (as in freedom) IaaS software, and enjoy the pleasure of an ansible-powered deploy, you could try the havana branch of the quantum-ansible project. In about 15 minutes you will have a three node openstack architecture (Neuron and Cinder included) ready to play with.
